Ramping Down Operations: Clinic Licensing Considerations

When:  Jul 20, 2022 from 02:00 PM to 03:15 PM (ET)

DATE:  July 20th, 2022
TIME:  2:00pm-3:15pm

In response to COVID-19, the California Department of Public Health published All Facilities Letter (AFL) 20-30.8, under the authority of Executive Order N-35-20, to waive specified licensing requirements and ease the administrative burden on Primary Care Clinics. This training session will include updates on the current state of clinic licensing in California, and an in-depth look at how to license a site after the expiration of All Facilities Letter (AFL) 20-30.8. We will review the purpose of different clinic license types, walk through the forms required by the Centralized Application Branch (CAB), and discuss timing for application submission. We will also discuss other licensing considerations and the most common errors found on clinic license applications.

  • Understand current clinic licensing policy as California continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Understand the difference between the clinic license types available to Community Health Centers (CHCs) in California.
