Leveraging CAIR Match to Improve CHC EHR Immunization Data

When:  Jun 7, 2022 from 01:00 PM to 01:45 PM (ET)

DATE:  June 7th, 2022
TIME:  1:00pm-1:45pm
Registration closes 6/6/22

The CAIR Match process offered through the California Immunization Registry (CAIR) is now available to California Community Health Centers (CHCs). This process, previously only available to health plans, allows CAIR2-enrolled health centers to submit patient lists to CAIR and receive back matched patient immunization histories. This process can assist health centers with assessing immunization status for their patient populations, facilitating quality improvement activities and targeted outreach where gaps in preventive immunizations are observed, and can help decrease the often time-consuming process of pulling immunization data from CAIR2. We will have speakers from CAIR (CDPH) and St. John's discuss this process and its uses.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Understand the process for requesting a CAIR Match
  • Demonstrate how the CAIR match process can improve baseline immunization data in health center EHRs
  • Learn how the CAIR Match process can help drive QI projects for target populations (e.g. diabetic, pregnant, hypertensive patients)
